The Angels

The Angels came to visit today
They carried the soul away
Of a gentle man away.
Into the Heavens so far above
He flew there with them
On the wings of God’s love

A soft-spoken man
With a heart of gold,
Who’s time had come
He had simply grown old.

He is at peace far from here and
In our memory
He will always be near.

We shouldn’t be sad and he
Wouldn’t want us to cry,
For he will be with us always
As the years go by.
